FAQ's

All your questions answered regarding Fine Wine Gifts' products and services.

How much will I be charged for delivery?

Our delivery charge is £10.00 for any size parcel and any amount of parcels. This includes secure packaging. If your order is over £100, there is no carriage charge.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Switch, Solo, Delta and Visa Electron. If you would prefer to pay by cheque, please contact us by telephone so we can process your order, request your cheque and despatch the goods as soon as your cheque has cleared.

What if there is nobody at home when the gift is delivered?

If there is nobody at home the driver will leave a card requesting that someone contact the depot and arrange a suitable delivery time. You have the option of entering an alternative delivery address from your billing address when you place your order.

Under no circumstances will a parcel be left in a garden, shed, garage or anywhere where a signature is not obtained.

How should I store my wine?

Wine doesn't like light, extremes of temperature or temperature changes. A cool dark place, free from vibrations is the most suitable storage place. Wine should always be stored "lying down" on it's side. Storing your wine incorrectly may lead to it becoming corked or unsatisfactory.

Is your site secure?

We use Paypal to process all of our payments. You do not need your own Paypal account in order to use this service. Paypal will not disclose your card details to us or anyone else.

Will my bottle be gift packaged?

If you would like your bottle or bottles gift packaged, please choose from our selection in the Presentation and Packaging section of our Store. These items are individually priced. The secure packaging and outer packaging is included in the cost of delivery.

Will I be contacted by other websites if I register with you?

All the information you give to us will remain private and confidential and we do not share our database with any other company.

What if something is broken?

All parcels despatched by finewinegifts.co.uk are packaged securely and our courier uses a Wine Tracking service specifically designed for the delivery of wines and spirits. In the unlikely event that a parcel arrives damaged, please sign for the parcel as damaged, and return it to the delivery driver. Do not accept the parcel, and inform Fine Wine Gifts immediately on 020 8819 6971.

It should not be too difficult to spot whether something is broken as the parcel will either rattle, smell of alcohol, be damp or stained.

Do I still need to order a gift box if the photo shows the bottle already inside one?

If the photograph shows the bottle inside or next to a gift box, this is the box it will be despatched in, so no further gift packaging is necessary.

Will I incur any other charges when I place an order?

The prices on our website are the prices you pay. You will be charged £10.00 for delivery regardless of the size of your parcel or quantity of parcels. If your order totals over £100, delivery will be free of charge. The delivery charge also includes secure packaging for your gift.

What is your refund policy?

If you wish to return a bottle of wine to us in the unfortunate event that you believe it to be corked, we will analyse the wine and if this is the case, will provide a replacement bottle, or a full refund if the wine is no longer available.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
