Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. You may send your credit card information over the Internet. Our website is secure and only uses the Paypal Payment Method to ensure the safety of your card details. You do not need to have a Paypal account in order to use this facility.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Disclaimer - We will not ship wines to the USA.
Shipping And Handling
Our shipping and handling charges are £10.00 per order. This includes secure packaging for your gift. You should receive your Gift within 3 working days. If you spend over £100, there will be no additional charge for shipping and handling.
If your goods are damaged in any way when they are delivered please do not accept the parcel, and inform Fine Wine Gifts immediately. We will despatch another parcel to you and recall the damaged one. It should be easy to tell if any bottles are broken as the packaging will be either damp, smell of alcohol, stained or will rattle. Unfortunately, due to the carriers terms and conditions, we cannot provide refunds for broken packages which are not reported immediately and signed for as damaged.
We despatch your order as soon as it is received providing all items are in our Warehouse. If items have to be withdrawn from our Bonded Store, there will be an extra day for customs clearance. We use a next day delivery service, so if your order is received before 12 noon, and all items are in stock, it should be delivered the following working day. If it is received after 12 noon it should be delivered after 2 working days. If we have to call in more stock, you will receive your order within 3 working days. You will be informed by e-mail when to expect your order.
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Fine Wine Gifts do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
If you receive faulty goods, we ask that you return the entire package, including all of it's contents to us immediately. If the goods are genuinely unsatisfactory you will be entitled to a full refund including shipping costs.
